Togo: EBAFOSA Togo has mobilized partnerships to build on ongoing reforestation work by Ministry of Environment towards reclaiming regarded lands. Over 10,000 trees have been planted in the canton of soumdina, in Aného and Agou in fulfillment of Togo NDC priorities.

Uganda: to incentivize upscaled use of climate resilient high value crops capable of enhancing both biophysical and socioeconomic resilience, EBAFOSA Uganda has catalyzed mutual partnerships between sorghum & cassava farmers in Kaliro & Namutumba districts in eastern Uganda and suppliers of solar powered pumps for on-farm value addition of irrigation.

Malawi have formed their inter-agency task force hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining – Environmental Affairs Department. This host ministry is leading mobilization of participation of other critical ministries as needed.

Ghana: EBAFOSA-Ghana has established an inclusive inter-ministerial/agency policy task force comprising nominees from the Ministries of Energy, Works and Housing, Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Transport, Roads and Highways, Justice and Attorney General’s Department, Aviation, Employment and Labour Relations. Additional nominees are from Ministries of Trade and Industry,

Sierra Leone: have formed their inter-agency task force chaired by the Ministries of Agric. Forestry and Food Security and Lands, Environment and country Planning. These ministries will lead in mobilizing participation of other critical ministries as needed. Schedule of meetings of the Task Forces has been agreed as the last Thursday of every month.

Mozambique: have formed their inter-agency task force chaired by the Ministry of Land Environment and Rural Development. This ministry has mobilized policy focal persons from all critical ministries relevant to establishment of EBA based, clean energy powered agro-industrial zones – including Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety, Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, Ministry of Public Works and Housing,

DRC: have formed their inter-agency task force hosted by the Ministry of Environment as the ministry to lead in mobilizing participation of other critical ministries as needed. Already the Ministry of Agriculture, UNDP & FAO DRC are among participants in the inception meeting of the task force scheduled for July. 

Cote d’Ivoire: have formed their inter-agency task force chaired by the Ministry of Environment with the Ministry of Agriculture as Vice-President. These ministries will lead in mobilizing participation of other critical ministries as needed.

Kenya: Through operational level mutual partnerships, EBAFOSA is leveraging ICT to actualize connections among complementary actors along the value chain needed to establish EBA based clean energy powered agro-industrialization.

Nigeria: in addition to the planning ministry which hosts EBAFOSA Nigeria, focal persons to constitute the Nigeria interagency policy task force have been established in the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment and Power and Energy. Additional focal persons from ministries of lands, Industry/trade among others are being mobilized to launch the task force. Among priority policies is development of an incentives package to encourage investors in off-grid electrification.
